A male is dead after becoming wedged between a pick up truck and a tree this morning in the Port Carling area.
This morning at about 10, emergency officials responded an address on Todholm Drive in the Port Carling area regarding a report of a male pinned to a tree.
As the services arrived, they could see a black Pick Up Truck down a small embankment and a male party trapped between the driver door and the B post of the pickup by a tree.
It is believed that the vehicle had either been left in drive or neutral and that the vehicle began to roll away. The deceased attempted to enter the vehicle in order to stop it, however when the vehicle reached the embankment it swiftly traveled down and became lodged.
The deceased was caught as the vehicle stopped because a tree wedged the vehicle.
Despite neighbours attempting to free the deceased, it was to no avail as the deceased was too badly wedged. A tow truck had to be utilized in order to free the deceased.
This deceased was pronounced at the scene. The Coroner and an OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigative team attended.
Foul Play is not suspected, however the OPP and the Coroner are investigating.
