A severe thunderstorm watch is currently in effect for:
- Bracebridge – Gravenhurst
- Huntsville – Baysville
Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, damaging hail and torrential rain.
There is the potential for severe thunderstorms to develop this afternoon and this evening (FRI) .
Forecast for Saturday:

On Sunday, we’ll see a mix of sun and cloud.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
