Haliburton OPP say a Minden man that was reported missing has been found safe on a remote property in Minden.
On Saturday December 9, 2017 shortly after 11:00 a.m., police received a report of a missing person.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that 22 year-old, Jason Shaw was last seen on December 3, 2017 walking with his dog, a brown shepherd-collie mix, in the area of Reynolds Road.
On Sunday, Shaw was located by local property owners of a remote hunt camp west of Scotch Line Road in Minden Hills Township. The owners, who were familiar with Jason Shaw, checked their property in the belief that he might be staying there after they had read the media release regarding Shaw missing. Shaw was found safe and sound and brought out of the remote area by the owners of the property without incident.
The Haliburton Highlands OPP want to thank the community for their concerns and providing information to officers and also to our media partners for their assistance because they played a significant role in bringing this missing person investigation to a successful conclusion.
