A concerned member of the public called police this week reporting a possibly impaired driver in Gravenhurst – it resulted in the arrest of a local 62 year old man.
Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the call and attended the area of Muskoka Road North in Gravenhurst on Thursday at 1:15 in the afternoon.
Officers were able to locate the reported vehicle on First Street and as a result of their investigation, arrested and charged 62 year-old Jeffrey Thomas of Gravenhurst with Over 80 CC 253(1)(b).
The accused received an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension and further had his vehicle towed and impounded. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 16, 2018 to answer to his charge.
