A new novel based in Muskoka is set to spook you this summer.
Written by Author Matthew Sitler, the story covers a pair of journalists who are working a murder case when they discover a wider, more tantalizing mystery beneath the surface.
Several local spots including Bala Falls, Lake Muskoka and various Bracebridge locations comprise the backdrop of this high energy Supernatural Thriller.
Sitler, who’s family is from Muskoka, says he wrote the novel over the past couple of years.
“Muskoka was the ideal setting for it because I’ve learned and experienced so much here,” he says. “There’s a mythic quality to the place – not only because of its hallowed cottage country reputation, but the land itself – it’s the perfect backdrop for a thriller.”
The Night Wandering is 260 pages and is available in paperback through Stoneaway Publishing Ltd. on Amazon.com
“I’m sure people will get a kick out of reading it,” says the author. “It’s edgy in its own way and, I’ve been told, is quite the page turner.”
